Crossroads Industrial Services has added ultrasonic welding to its growing spectrum of manufacturing, assembly and supply chain solutions. The new service led to Crossroads securing its latest client, Gimme Charge, which offers golfers a convenient way to charge their mobile devices (or anything else that charges from a USB) out on the greens.
The Right Fit
“To meet their customers’ demands, Gimme Charge needed a manufacturer that could efficiently handle a more complex assembly process,” said Crossroads Business Development Manager Bill Love. “They saw that we have the expertise, space and manpower to be able to handle their requirements and were confident in what we could do for them.”
Gimme Charge President Trevor Back explains that Crossroads was the obvious choice in their search for the right manufacturing partner.
“To put it simply – Crossroads offered us more than the competition. They have a wider range of capabilities, a better staff and a more competitive price,” said Back. “On top of that they’ve offered us a flexibility others couldn’t. The word ‘flexibility’ gets thrown around a lot, but it’s a promise that Crossroads has come through on and it’s truly helped our business.”
A Complete Partner
The strategic decision to add ultrasonic welding services came about as part of the company’s commitment to being a complete partner for Gimme Charge.
Ultrasonic welding uses high-frequency sound waves to create a solid-state weld. This solution eliminates the need for connective bolts, nails, soldering materials or other adhesives, and ensures joints are clean, consistent and precise. Ultrasonic equipment can also easily be customized to perfectly fit any part specification.
The successful addition of this new capability led Crossroads and Gimme Charge to expand their business relationship even further. Gimme Charge is now not only a satisfied customer, but also a supplier partner for Crossroads’ ultrasonic welding capabilities.
“There’s a great need for ultrasonic welding out there, yet not many provide such a service,” said Love. “We’re continuously improving and expanding our solutions, as well as our partnerships with vendors so that we fulfill such needs for our customers. We’re excited to continue to work with Gimme Charge and offer ultrasonic welding services to future customers.”
